ChatGPT passes MBA Test

Chat GPT

What is ChatGPT? Just in case you’ve been living under a rock, simply put, ChatGPT is a sophisticated chatbot that’s been trained and fed so much data that it can be used for a variety of natural languages processing tasks, such as language translation, text summarization, question answering, and even coding.

How does a chatbot called ChatGPT passes an MBA test you ask? The professors at the Wharton Business School just put it to the test. According to their results, ChatGPT has demonstrated an impressive ability to automate some of the skills of highly compensated knowledge workers, specifically those held by MBA graduates, and scored a B- on the test.

Now… before you start envisioning ChatGPT as the new classroom star, it’s worth mentioning that the New York City Department of Education banned the use of ChatGPT on public school networks and devices due to concerns that students could use the tool to the detriment of their education. You can read more about that here.

New ChatGPT Subscription?

ChatGPT is soon to come with a subscription.
Over the weekend on Jan 21st, some users spotted a subscription option on the ChatGPT platform at $42 a month.

Although the feature doesn’t seem to be present at the time we’re writing this post, it is said that the feature is only available to a selected number of users.

This addition doesn’t come as a surprise. Earlier this month, OpenAI, the AI research company behind ChatGPT, shared a waitlist for a Professional tier on their Discord channel. Those who signed up would be reached out to set up a payment process and a pilot, according to the information.

update:

To help monetize its success, OpenAI has launched a new subscription plan called ChatGPT Plus, starting at $20 per month. With ChatGPT Plus, you’ll get faster response times, priority access to new features and improvements, and general access to ChatGPT even during peak times.

Don’t worry, the free ChatGPT tier is here to stay. As for ChatGPT Plus, it’s currently only available to customers in the U.S., but OpenAI will be inviting people from its waitlist in the coming months and plans to expand to other countries soon.

OpenAI has been actively working to improve ChatGPT based on feedback from its millions of users, and they see the new subscription plan as a way to support free access availability to as many people as possible. This may be just the first of several plans to come, as OpenAI is also exploring options for lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs, in addition to an API.

ChatGPT has been a huge success for OpenAI, attracting major media attention and a large user base of over a million people. However, running ChatGPT is a costly operation, so OpenAI is under pressure to turn a profit after its multi-billion-dollar investment from Microsoft. OpenAI is also planning to incorporate its text-generating tech into Bing and introduce a mobile ChatGPT app in the future.
