Tesla has just announced the Model S redesign, and as previously speculated, it is called Model S Plaid.
The new Model S Plaid comes with some minor updates to both the interior and exterior of the car. However, the most noticeable visual change is in the interior.
Features
The infotainment screen is no longer vertical but Horizontal in the Plaid version. Now similar to the looks of the Model 3 and Model Y. However, the one on the Plaid Model has far smaller bezels and is “17 Cinematic display” with 2200×1300 resolution, ultra-bright, very responsive with left-right tilt.
On the inside, you will also find a new design language for the steering wheel, which now comes as a U-shaped butterfly steering wheel that keeps the minimalist approach that Tesla has adopted from the get-go.
It also offers Multi-device Bluetooth, wireless, and USB-C fast charging, meaning you can charge up to two phones simultaneously.
In terms of range and power, The Tesla Model S Plaid has a 390 mi range and can go from 0-60 in 1.99 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph (when equipped with proper wheels and tires).
Tesla says that the Plaid versions should be able to do five times as many quarter-mile runs as previous Model S sedans, thanks to the new powertrain and the new heat pump that was developed for the Model Y. Click here to order and customize the new Tesla Model S Plaid.
